The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.79% higher at 875.94 points on Friday, as trading in Treasury bonds boosted the daily turnover, bourse data showed.
The BELEX15 was supported by rises in Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] and oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS].
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla led the blue-chip gainers, closing 2.97% higher at 1,800 dinars in a volume of 522 shares.
NIS generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday. A total of 45,642 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 33.3 million dinars. NIS closed up 1.25% at 731 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also gained ground closing up 0.55% at 1,762.03.
The bourse’s total trading turnover soared to 138.9 million dinars ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro) from 8.9 million dinars on Thursday, as trading in Treasury bonds contributed 104.2 million of the total.
In the period between February 13 and 17, BELEX15 went down 0.30%, while BELEXline also declined 0.76%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 161 million dinars, versus 223 million dinars in the previous trading week.
