Former prime minister Scott Morrison says it is not unfeasible that COVID-19 may have started through an accident in a lab.
“The trail runs cold and that’s why I said it at the time – I was mocked for saying it, I said there should be the ability for the WHO to send in people to go and investigate in circumstances like this but that was resisted,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host Sharri Markson in an exclusive interview.
“Whether it started in the lab by accident – I never saw anything that would’ve suggested it happened on purpose, I never believed that.
“It’s not unfeasible that it would’ve occurred through an accident and even the accident wouldn’t have been the great mistake – not telling anyone was the bit (that) concerned me.”
