Critical inflation expectations are still set at 2%, according to Lagarde
According to Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank (ECB), crucial inflation expectations are still anchored around 2%. She emphasized the significance of these anticipations and expressed certainty that the inflation figures would change by the year’s conclusion.
Lagarde indicated that they would closely examine changes in pay during an interview with Bloomberg TV. When questioned about altering the inflation objective, she responded that doing so would be inaccurate and detrimental to securing inflation expectations.
Lagarde claimed that the German economy is doing well and that the country’s growth is not broken.
